Decarbed LHR
Decarbed live hash rosin is hash rosin that has undergone decarboxylation, a process of heating to activate the cannabinoids, making them orally active for edibles and other products. To decarb live hash rosin, the material is typically heated in a sealed container at temperatures between 200-220°F (93-105°C) for 25-40 minutes, though a sous vide method can offer more precision. This ensures the desired THC and CBD are present to provide effects when consumed.
Why Decarboxylate?
Oral Activation:
In its raw form, THCA (and CBDA) is not orally active. Heating converts THCA to psychoactive THC (and CBDA to active CBD) so that the effects are felt when consumed in an edible.
Edible Infusion:
The process prepares the rosin for infusion into oils or fats to create edibles like gummies, chocolates, and tinctures.
