THCA Diamonds
🔹 What Are THCA Diamonds?
THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the non-psychoactive precursor to THC.
Diamonds refer to the crystal-like appearance of purified THCA molecules, which can form into solid, sparkly chunks — hence the name.
They are often found in “sauce”, a mix of crystals (THCA) and terpene-rich oil, which provides flavor and aroma.
🔹 How Are They Made?
THCA diamonds are typically made through a solvent-based extraction process such as:
Hydrocarbon extraction (using butane or propane) pulls cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant.
The extract is left to sit and crystallize slowly over several weeks.
Crystals of THCA separate from the terpene-rich liquid and are collected.
This slow process is called “diamond mining.”
🔹 How Are They Used?
Heated (dabbing or vaporizing): When THCA is heated, it decarboxylates into THC, becoming psychoactive and providing a potent high.
Raw consumption: THCA diamonds do not get you high unless heated, but some people use them for potential anti-inflammatory or neuroprotective effects.
🔹 Potency
THCA diamonds are extremely potent, often testing at 95–99% purity.
Once heated and converted to THC, the effects can be very intense, so start with a small dose if you're new to concentrates.
